The pictures will have to wait a little bit yet. As for the deal, the total for the car itself (minus all the fees) was $20K even; that includes: mudguards; trunk tray; wheel locks; and an auto-dimming mirror with compass and outside temperature gauge. We also got a coupon book that isn't given out to most customers (usually for preferred/ return customers, I think). We were also offered an extended warranty (6 yrs./ 100,000 miles) at the price that the employees pay; but I still wasn't about to finance that.
All of this is the result of a friend/ neighbor of my parents doing some online haggling for me (because she lives for haggling); also, it doesn't hurt that she personally knows the owner of the dealership (who actually owns 30 dealerships between IL and IN). Even the guys at the dealership said that I got an unusually good deal; and they even put in my file the fact that I know someone who knows the dealership owner. Guess that has some pull.
