Default 91 Accord lacking compression (I think)

Hello all, I am new to this forum, I have a question. I just got a 91 accord and I am idling at abot 250rpm. I am a newb to cars for the most part ( i have a little more than a basic knowledge). It is a 4 cylinder, When I first got the car I noticed I could take out the first spark plug wire and nothing would happen, but the three other ones would almost make the car die. But when the car has been running awhile and I do the same thing the first cylinder will sputter like the rest of them. But regardless I am still only idling at about 250 rpm's, sometimes when it is really hot (I live in Texas) the rpm's will dip down to close to 50! Any suggestions? I would like to do this my self, but I havent a clue where to start.

hmm, yea...that would be lost of compression if you take out the spark plug wire tube and it doesnt drop.
it also might be the injector...if you put a flat head screwdriver on every injector you should hear a consistantly solid click.
if it is clicking odd or you dont hear it at all then it might be the injector.
