I want to install an oil pressure gauge
on my 2005 Accord I4.

I understand there is a oil pressure sending unit
where the electrical connector for the gauge plugs
into.

However, if the pressure is being gauged from the
immediate outflow from the oil pump then I guess I'll pass.

I'm not looking to specifically measure the health of the
oil pump but want this to supplement knowing when my
car is warmed up in the mornings after a cold start.
So that I can avoid putting it in to gear before the
oil has circulated everywhere.

So the question is???
Is the pressure gauge hookup just to the immediate outflow from the oil pump or does it come from somewhere more
remote.
