Hey...I have a 2002 Honda Accord SE - 4 door sedan and I was told by an installer at Tweeter that I could install some 5.6 monitors in the headrest. Took the car to the shop and was told the monitors that I already bought will not fit into the OEM headrest. Does anyone know of a headrest or a manufacturer that I could get some headrests from that will fit my 5.6 monitors? HHHHHEEEEELLLLLPPPP!!!! I already bought the monitors and do not want to get rid of them.

 

Careful with modifyignthe headreast... it's part of your cars safety system. Possibly one of the most imprtant components especially if you rear ended. I don't see a problem modifying the padding a little, but be careful about installing a different style unless teh support posts are a perfect patch for the OEM.

 

Hey Motoguy...Thanks for the post. I was hoping there was a manufacture out there that I could by some new headrest from without giving up the safety factor. I am totalling diggin your rides. I just bought a 05 - ZX6R and lovin' it.

 

Accord to Crutchfield.com (click Here) A 7in monitor can fit in the stock headrest. So anything smaller should definitely fit

 

The 6R is a nice ride. I'm almost tempted to go back to a 600 because they are more fun on a twisty road.... but I love the extra cc's for sport touring and carryign a passenger. Effortless power.
