Default ecu question

Ok so I replaced my ecu today, because it wasnt reading the o2 sensor anymore. My car is a 97 accord, non v-tec 5speed and I think they gave me a vtec auto ecu. When I start the car I have the CEL come on and have read the CEL codes, its throwing me a 70 and 21 which im pretty sure is vtec and auto tranny codes. If thats the case I shouldn't I be fine, seeing as I dont have auto or vtec? Will this have any effect on performance? It's hard to tell a difference so far because with my old ecu, it wasn't picking up the o2 sensor. This one seems to be picking up the o2 sensor, but throwing those other codes. Also, is there anyway to shut off the CEL?
thanks

I would get the right ecu as the vtec ecu will have a diffrent fuel and timing curve also will not run right because it was for a auto and the fact the CE is on will not pass inspection , I would rather put the bad O2 ecu back in until the right ecu is found
