Default help! 88 accord lx 5spd idling dangerously low!

i drive an 88 accord with 230k miles on it. its a 5 speed and about a year back i had some problems where the engine would idle really low, and eventually it just started stalling. the problem was fixed and it had been running fine until about a week ago. its doing it again, idling low but this time its not stalling. i was wondering if anyone could tell me what the problem might be. i have a feeling it could be the power steering because the steering gets really tight sometimes and the wheel is hard to turn. but this could also be because the engine is not giving enough fuel to the power steering. im not sure. i dont want to have to give this car up. its my pride and joy and other than this it runs perfectly. i appreciate any feedback. thanks!

more than likely your powersteering is gettin hard from too low of rpms for the pump to be effective. Have you tried the idle adjustment screw on the throttle body? That should be a temporary fix until you can find the real problem. More than likely you have a vacumm leak somewhere(either a hose came off or has a hole in it). One other thing it could be is that you need to throughly clean out your throttle body.
