as for whether it's worth modding, i'd say it is. you learn do it yourself jobs, you learn about your car, and you learn what you like, if you mod it.
like they said, you need money to make it fast. however, it's light so it'll feel pretty quick w/ some small performance parts (intake/header recommended), and it'll respond pretty nicely to suspension mods (strut bars, sway bars, drop, tires)
as for looks, that's totally up to you. here's mine for another example: http://www.cardomain.com/id/uclaccord . as you can tell, i'm on a low budget. despite a few regrets and things i would change if i had more money, i love driving her and the day she dies will be a very sad day.
keep in mind that with most accords, with the exception of maybe the newest v6, you need to toss in a good amount of money to make the car run fast.
