Default Headlight install?

Howdy all. I have a 99 Honda Accord and I could use some help here. I have installed 2 sets of the Sylvania Silverstars and they both blew ( also any other set I have bought since) . I made sure not to touch them. Before they totally blew I could twist the headlight were they seated inside the three screws and they would come back on and work for a day or so till it seemed like they were jaring loose. I tightened up all the screws when I installed them and tightened the three set screws ( pass side a royal pain due to air duct). but it still allowed the light to slightly move inside those screws.

I have checked the wires and grounds and all seems good. Anyone with this problem or suggestions I welcome in advance. Thank ya thank ya very much

Well when everything is installed correctly, there shouldn't be any movement, mine is rock solid...so it might be a manufacturer problem, those bulbs tend to blow soon based on the 3 active threads about them haha.

Even if it does more slightly back and forth, they should stay lit. Some people don't even loosen the screws, they just crank it and pull it out. I always have to slightly loosen my screws.

Here's a tip for you though...on the passenger side, grab that air intake duct and pull straight up, it'll come right out and give you room to work, then just push it back on when you are done.

Default Thanks

jschmid for the advice on the removing the air intake duct Hey 98CoupeV6 I was just wondering if anyone else had ran into the same problem with the lights and had some advice on it. I had read about all the Sylvania Silverstars problems, but my problem seems to be with any headlight
