Default ROTA wheels

Am after any feedback re: ROTA wheels - esp 16" Slipstreams or GT3s in 4X114.3 lug pattern on a 6th gen Accord. Any fitment issues, and has anyone got a reliable source for discounted ROTAs, or a set for sale?

search www.groupbuycenter.com or even around here.

not to put you down, but those wheels will look horrible on a 6th gen. please don't say you're going for a JDM 6th gen b/c they don't exist (not with our USDM chasis atleast).

I'm very happy with them. They are pretty cost effective as well. I pissed a wad of money away on some TE-37s and hoosiers for auto-x, so I didn't have much money for my daily wheels and rotas were the perfect answer. They are much better quality than the ADR wheels I had on the accord, plus they look pretty damn good

This is the place I got mine from, great folks to work with http://subydude.com/ go to wheels then non-suby wheels for you.

As was said slipstreams aren't the best looking wheel on the accord, they are old, outdated, and relatively heavy. Some Grid, flight, or Attack would look sweet, or maybe Tarmacs. Subydude has the GT3s too. The red looks cool, I wouldn't do it, but it does look cool.

Yeah, I kinda agree w/ you on the Slipstreams. GT3 wheels w/ red center won't cut it, I'm afraid - but they're supposed to be available in gunmetal w/ the polished lip. . .car is a silver EX coupe. I can't see what wheels are on the WRX in prior post - all I see are polished lips on a black wheel. W/out the polished lip it would have a 'who stole my hubcaps look?' and that polished lip really sets off a black wheel. What about Motegi wheels ?

Oh, sorry, it's hard to get the contrast right. They are Royal black subzeros with polished lip.

(doh had to edit, read your post and put sliptstreams for me too. :P)

I think gunmetal with polished lip looks good, the black is a little too dark.

Here's gunmetal with polished lip on my black accord, these were RS Limited "Elite" 18 x 7.5. RS Limited is a sub-brand of ADR and I wouldn't recommend them. The finish was shotty, and hitting a curb at 35mph after someone ran me off the road showed they weren't that strong.

this was 35mph curb rash

Motegi has kind of a "cheap ugly ricer" reputation. They are the wheels you expect to see on some stupid slammed teg with primer for paint, serious camber issues, a fartcan muffler tip, and green underbody lights. But, if you can get over this reputation, the wheels aren't all that bad. I had a set of Motegi MR7s on my accord a while ago. They were cheap, not toooo heavy, and had a fairly good ride. I use them as my winter wheels now, but I have to admit, they look ok on my car. The only issue I have is that they have this small lip that extrudes from the outer rim of the car that just invites every pothole in the world to just bend the sh$t out of it. Other then that, I have been very satisfied with the wheel for the price.

I got 4 wheels with four mounted tires for 750$..... you just cant beat that for a beater wheel.

My subzeros were $600 for all 4 shipped to my door , they were normally $650-$700 shipped but subydude had a group buy for a board I frequent so I jumped on them. The only pisser was 2 weeks after I put them on my car two different people sold mint condition prodrive(OZ) P1s for $700 for the set(normally about $300-$350 a wheel).

The ADRs on my accord cost me $350 shipped from an ebay seller

GT-3s in gunmetal w/ polished lip will be it. Thanks everyone for inputs - btw, the ricer Teg described in the Motegi reply sounds a lot like my son's car (w/out the green underbody lighting). lol
