What can I expect with old age?
I have a 95 Accord EXL 4cyl 4dr with over 186K miles on it. I've maintained the car extremely well.
My generic question(s):
What sorts of things can I expect to start going wrong with it? Any specifics to look for?
What types of things can I go ahead and fix or replace?
Thanks in advance.

check the rear fenders for signs of the infamous "honda rust spot"
if you have your maintenance all up to date (you should be on your 2nd timing belt and water pump), don't fix it till it's broke.

re: "what to expect w/ old age" - an ever increasing bald spot on the back of your head, then your teeth will loosen up and fall out, your lower back will ache most of the time, the arthritis in your fingers will make it much easier to just read magazines and not work on your car, you won't be able to hear your wife yelling at you, and if you do, you won't give a damn anyway, your eyesight will keep changing, and you'll start complaining that your Honda now rides too stiff, that you wish you hadn't 86th the AC and the power steering, you'll piss & moan that all those ricers are too loud and sound like angry insects (and then rememeber that it's your car making all the noise. . .) Or, were you referring to your car and not yourself? Believe me, it's true, and enjoy all this hot rod nonsense while you can !
- suspension bushings, motor mounts, struts, rubber brake lines, rear calipers may be sticking if you've got 4 whl discs, radiator and heater hoses, weatherstrip seals (esp. check trunk and below spare for evidence of water/moisture), vacuum lines, exhaust system hangers, plug wires, and other 'soft' parts.
