Default DIY black-housing headlights help!!

so i did mine a while ago.... in order to keep turning areas reflective i taped up the area that needed and sprayed over it.. there were some MiNOR imperfections but being the perfectionist i am, i was pretty pissed... but i was surfing ebay, where I am when I'm not on forums, i saw that some company was selling them with black in the turn signal area... if i opened them up and sprayed again that would solve my problem, but is that legal? will that work? ideas? here's a link:

i HIGHLY ENCOURAGE u dont buy EBAY headlights. all aftermarket hadlights sucks!!

why did u mask stuff off? i thought the housing (the part u paint) could be separated from the rest of the headlight?

Not all of it is separated....you have to mask off the turn signal area if you want it to be reflected.

my turn signals are still amber... so... are they still illegal? just don't have that reflector that don't do **** at the bottom....

does anyone have the turn signal area completely blacked out? what's it look like?

Yeah, I masked mine off with tape and it took off almost a square centimeter of chrome. I got somewhat pissed until i got the chrome spray paint and a q-tip and just brushed it over the little part. Now I'm happy with my headlights.

I've seen the non-reflecting black housing lights and i prefer the reflective one over it. it's just too much black.

chrome spraypaint and qtip?! that worked? it didn't blotch up or anything? how you prevent from spraying the black areas?

the turn signals aren't the focus. that reflector peice that was taken out makes it illegal. the amber corners just kinda make it less notiecable.
