but i wanna clear up some smog issues first before boosting..... for those with turbos in so cal, what happens if a cop pulls u over and pops ur hood and see the turbo?? will he impound ur car? or do u have to take it off and resmog it?? i know that u can always pay someone to pass smog, but i'm just concerned abt visual inspections by po pos....

driving for the past 5 yrs in socal w/ hooked up hondas ive never been asked to pop the hood with nitrous guages in clear view in pillar guage pod. only time my friends were asked to pop the hood was back in the street racing days when it was a bust.

with smog if the guy doesnt care about visual then just take out the wastegate spring, put stock injectors back in and put the stock ecu back in.

 

i've heard that if u do get ur hood popped, u'll be given a summon.. then, u can't drive the car till it is sent to a assigned smog referee and passes smog thru him....
