The SE is usually always an LX with "some" of the EX features.
My gripe is always the SE has rear drums, since I like rear discs I'd spring for the EX. Plus I don't think you can have an SE with a manual which I also prefer.

no leather but it has a sunroof , its funny the 1st - 4th gen SE models were a step up from there EX or LX-I counterparts and when they introduced the 5th gen it basically was an LX with a few added features and the same applies for the 6th.

This is true. After the 94 EXL's came out, they had no where to go
but go down to the LX to make the SE which is now just a discount package.
Like the 05 SE Accord coupe, all that included is 16'' wheels, deck spoiler,
and painted lower rocker panel, no sunroof on this year.

The '02 had 15" alloy rims that differed from the EXs, leather wasn't avail. except as a dealer installed option, had rear drums, no side air bags like EX, and non body colored rockers. Not sure if it had the fake aluminum finish on the dash and if the upholstery pattern was different.

FYI - the fifth gen Accord SEs didn't have the slightly higher hp EX engine either, and that may have been the same scenario for the 4th gen Accords. Also, and even though nobody asked, the bright red on SE coupes was unique to that trim level.

Typically, the inclusion of an SE in the Accord product line is an attempt to spur lackluster sales, and announces that a new generation Accord will be arriving in the next model year.

My favorite SE was the '00 model years. (sedan only that year.)
Actually I just loved their wheels, but I would have purchased an SE that year had they been available with an manual tranny. I could have forgon the rear disc and moon roof for the saved cash.

But instead I ended up with an EX coupe, but still I love the look of the '00 SE. Though I remember them brand new on the lot and now most times when I see one it's trash out with a trashed interiors, altezzas, pitted alloys, and tons of door dings. so sad....

I wasn't too keen on the green or tan, but I loved the dark reddish color that year for the SE's.
