Anybody have one? DC sports or some other kind? Worth the $$$ for a little piece of metal? I've been debating this for awhile but don't know about forking out the dough.
i used to have th B&M short shifter adapter. you can tell a difference, especially when you return the car to stock, you don't really realize how big a difference it really made. the B&M claimed like 30-40 percent decrease in throw if i remember correctly, so it was fairly useful.
Did you have any problems with it? Why go back to stock? I drove my brothers civic that had a short shifter and when I got back in mine if felt like I was driving a 5sp pickup!
not sure if my post is useful but i have a 4th gen and i got mine from a guy that modify's the shift cable connection point...works hella well plus its only 55 bucks.
And the real low buck approach is to just wack a couple of inches off of the shift lever like my son's 2nd gen Teg. And when he ilater nstalled a B&M short shift kit, his shifter is more akin to using a mouse on a mouse pad. But he thinks it's cool. . .Not that we never did such stuff to our muscle cars, and those that we masqueraded as such, like the Schaeffer beer tap I used for a shift knob on my '54 Studebaker long ago. Now that was cool !
