I am a noob here, so easy on me please. My problem is im trying to remove my cd player so I can connect a FM modulator with my sirius radio. After removing the front panel, from what i can see there are 4 silver bolts that need to be remove, i have no problem removing the 2 top ones, but the 2 botom ones are so tight that i can't budge it. Is there a trick to removing these bolts? Or is there a way to get around it? Thanks in advance for the help. I own a '00 accord coupe V6 BTW.

 

remove the control bezel (2 screws on the bottom, 1 behind the clock)
remove 4 screws that hold the radio in
the end.

if the screws won't budge, you can still get to the antenna plug from the back without removing the radio. there's only 2 things pluged into the back of the radio, a thick wireharness, and a pen shaped plug.

the black plug is the radio antenna.

 

You need to read the directions on your sirius, that's not how an fm modulator works. This could also lend some insight as to the reason why you can't undo a couple of philips head screws.

 

if it's a hardwire fm mod kit, like the Delphi XM 1, then you'll need to run your power antenna wire though the kit, and from the kit, back into the radio.

 

Im doing hardwire, I was getting static from the wireless fm modulator, so im trying to install SATSWB to fix it.

 

Oh, didn't know you were doing hardwire. My bad. I have the SkyFi2 and my buddy's sirius has a wireless FM modulator like I do. Anyway, they're philips screws dude...get a correct size screwdriver and torque them good without stripping.

 

I've tried with all my strength, and still can't get it to budge. I had no problems with the top ones. Maybe im just weak. I guess i'll get a friend to try it.

 

your talking about the radio screws(the ones on the side of the radio that goes into the brackets?). if so, then those should be philips head screws can be removed by 8mm socket(the head is not round). if not, a trick would be to push in while you turn. another trick is to put a socket on the handle of the screwdriver and attach it to a ratchet. then push in and turn. hope this helps cuz its worked for me a few times. make sure your using the right sized screwdriver head too.

 

I had the static too with the wireless, so I went with the cheap/easy/lazy
way and just use the cassette adapter. It sounds fine, but a little messy
with the wires for power, and cassette adapters on the console.
