Default Do i need a new PCV valve??

Ok so my car has been doing this thing for a REALLY long time now, like 6 months off and on, where i'll just be crusing and i'll get power loss. It feels like fuel is being cut off to the motor. So i did some research and heard that i might need to clean my EGR ports so i went ahead and did that, however i still get the problem. When i unplugged my PCV valve it seemed to go away.... is it my PCV valve or something else?? I didn't have the PCV valve off for too long and thats why i'm asking

It wouldn't hurt to replace it considering it is a $3 part at any local autoparts store.

When was the last time a basic tuneup was done on the car? Have you recently checked the distributor cap/rotor, plug wires, spark plugs, fuel filter, etc to make sure they are functioning properly?

well, its really easy to check the pcv valve...all you need to do is: take it off (might need a pair of pliers), shake it and if you CAN hear something inside moving inside freely than it is working properly.

or if you dont believe me you can just replace it, LOL

Possibly...

When I replaced my PCV valve, the hose just snapped from being so old. I recommend you change the hose with the valve.
