just google that engine "f22 DOHC" not SOHC like USDM....this is so easy to find. Don't waste peoples time. Look around the internet for 30 seconds before asking a question

 

in the time it took you to type that, you wasted more time than if you had just answered his question...how about if you dont want your time wasted, dont post on the thread?

 

I figure if people read it they will think "hmmm good point, I guess I could just google my question first." This will help down the line. My response was not intended as a personal attack, but rather as a general guideline for posting in any forum. Common sense is a good thing, and 30 seconds of effort on the part of a poster makes the forum function more smoothly.

 

as a matter of fact,i did look on the internet.more than 30 seconds too.im looking for the specifications for a SOHC F22B JDM engine.(HP,TQ,compression ratio).thats all i need to know.my fault for not clearifying,i forgot about the prelude DOHC.If anyone can give me a nice polite answer it would be greatly appreciated.ive really looked and called and cant find it. and to the rude GIRL who replied,hey if your so talented then lets see you find it in 30 seconds.Everybody else thanks for your time and consideration.

I wasnt being rude, or at least that was not the intention. Regardless, I think your problem is in that, i do not believe there was a unique JDM SOHC F22B engine. If there was it was probably the same specs as the USDM version (8.8 comp/ 145 hp (vtec). If I am wrong, I will willingly admit it as I am always looking to learn more... I just search to do it. The F22B JDM versions were the DOHC... perhaps you are even thinking of the F20 series. Either way, the reason for the search was so you would see that there weren't any. Sorry you took such offense to that, and sorry you somehow seem to think I am a "rude GIRL". I am assuming your CAPS LOCK key was temporarily stuck, and you somehow convinced yourself that I was a woman, but ok... I don't take any offense, I just thought you were one of those people that asks questions that just waste time. I didn't know you had a honest question that needed answering... my bad. Peace

 

cool,cool,well i know that there is for sure an f22b(jdm) and the f22b1(usdm).they sell them usually on ebay or some used japanese engine distributer.(www.alljapaneseengines.com) i know they sell them there.but yeah i kinda figured maybe it would have the same specs. as the B1 but i just wanted to see if i could find out for sure.my buddy seems to think it might have alittle higher compression but thats just his best guess.thanks for your reply and if anyone knows for sure just let me know.thanks

They just did an article about this swap in this months Honda Tuning mag, its DOHC with 160hp.

 

i know there is a DOHC f22b. But there is also an f22b SOHC, im sure of it.i spoke to a man at alljapaneseengines.com and he said hes gonna try to find it out for me.they sell the JDM F22B SOHC engine there.But if anyone knows id still like you to post it if you could.if you dont believe me check out ebay motors or an japnese engine distributer.im not sure of all the co. that sell them buti know nippon motors doesent sell them.if anyone can vouch for me that this engine exsist id feel alittle better about this.thanks!
