The middle storage compartment (the one with the flip door under the stereo) is stuck in the down position in my 2003 Accord. The dealer said it's a spring that's come loose, and they'll need to take off the whole center dash to get it to open...is there any easier fix? Thanks.

 

Mine's stuck down several times because my kids jam stuff in there (usually pens or cd's) and you can't push it in enough to make it pop open. I just flatten a McDonald's straw and run it under the lid by the console until I move whatever is jammed against the cover away from it so I can push it back enough to make it pop.

Might be worth a try.
