215/45/17 Vs. 215/50/17
hey ya'll!!
i need to purchase tires in about a month or so, i've been looking around for the tires and got down to 2 choices, which are 215/45/17 & 215/50/17.
i'm thinking about getting 'em from tirerack.com , since they have pretty good price on those tires, and price isn't that much difference.
i'm running 215/40/17 tires right now and it's kindda rough for my taste. so i'm thinking about getting some thicker tires to get comfy ride. since i have koni yellows & skunk2 coilovers, i can always adjust the heights in order to make no finger gap on the front side.
i know that having 50 series tires will throw off my speedometer but i don't speed anymore, so it doesn't really matter.
please give some opinions & advices!
thanks

yeah in order to stay with the inch up chart, you are totally right! 205/45/17 tires are the most likely the exact same diameter as the stock tires. however having 205 tires might cause problem, since it won't give that much protection against the curve damages.
thanks for the reply though!
