hi everyone,

i have a honda accord 2001 LX automatic. my problem is that when i push on the acceleration pedal there is a jump, kinda like driving manual and forget switch gear by pushing stop pedal. i am not a car expert as you can see, but what do i do? what is the problem?

usually when my transmission is at d4, the car roles forward, now it doesn't, not unless i push acceleration pedal. i tried on d4, d3 and the same jump start. kinda like driving on slippery ice.

please help,

 

From that rough description, it sounds like a slipping transmission. Take it to the dealer and see if it qualifies for the warranty extension.

 

your transmission is dead. go to the dealer and see what kind of warranty, if any, you have.

how many miles on the car? did you get any sort of extended warranty?

 

If you are under 100,000 miles, you will get a rebuilt transmission installed at no charge (assuming that is your problem).

 

it's pass it's due time, 127,000.

what is the price arrange for replacement?

 

around 2,000 to 2,500 including labor.
