Default Gen7 Stereo

I was looking to use my laptop with the stock head unit and I was told today that they have the cable to do it for 2004 but do not have it for the 2005, I told the guy the car is the same but he insisted that the stereo has changed. Does anyone know if the stereo changed from the 04 to the 05? I could have sworm I heard it hadnt but this guy was positive it had, so needless to say he wouldnt ship the cable to me because he says "it wont work due to the stereos being different." True or false?

I assume you mean to play music?

SNHOND03 adapter? If so, yes, it works with 2003-2005 models. However, you have to unplug the XM/MP#/CD Changer if you got one installed by Honda. You can hook up the two at the same time if you buy an additional splitter though.

DO you happen to have the part #'s for the items I would need to hook up a laptop for audio? That would be the easiest way to go about it if I already had the #'s. If so thanks!

Do a google search for it. Then you get a RCA to mini plug and you hook it up to your laptop, and you are set!

Default Pluggin a laptop

What I advise you to do is to call or email guys at LogJam Electronics - they are pretty helpful with the stuff - they sell interfaces and cables for car audio etc. I just bought SNHOND3 interface from them and I was told that they have miniplug adapters etc. Their site is www.logjamelectronics.com - check it out and give'em a buzz.

I used it to hook up my Sony CD-mp3 changer as a Direct Connect audio option (controlled from stock stereo) but you can use it for any AUX input - only difference is that of course you will have to operate your audio software on the laptop by yourself (and if you ask me that's kind of a drag when you are going 80 mph on a highway).

Good luck!
