Default Issue with Hand Break Indicator in Accord '01

I have an accord 2001 LX. Not involved in any crash.
Its behaving little different from this week.

I started my car and i released the hand break, red color indicator for break does not go away. I tried pulling the hand break up and released and i repeated this several time. but the still indicator won't go away. So, got scared and decided to see honda service and started driving. After a mile of driving the indicator went off automatically. This happened second time in this week.

I believe its not a normal behavior. So what does this mean?

That warning light is also triggered by low brake fluid. The reservoir cap has a float switch, maybe it's sticking. Or maybe the fluid level is actually low (look for leaks)...

When your brakes wear down, that takes fluid away from the reservoir. So maybe this is an early warning that your brakes are almost worn out?

Its also possible that the switch is malfunctiong. If the above doesnt work, you can remove your armrest console and inspect the switch under the e-brake.
