Rebuilding the brake caliper seals
Anyone ever rebuilt a 6th gen brake caliper.
My sister had her 100,000mi service at Honda on her EXv6-02 and the cylinder dust boot on the passenger side front caliper is torn. I could swap out the caliper for $62 but for $14 I could get a Honda caliper seal repair kit, I think it includes the boot.
I have the service manual, is this longer then a 1hr rebuild? It doesn't look to complicated but I've never town a caliper down on the bench.
The caliper works fine at this point, but she is freaking out and eventually will nag me to death until it's repaired.
