Default Replacing Alt Cap.

I got a I4 00 accord hitting 50k miles. Should I replace my Alt Cap as well as the spark plug wires and spark plugs?

i would. if you haven't already. Just a tip watch you don't pinch the spring inside the new cap when you put it on.

Okay I did a search on this topic, I changed my spark plugs to day with some NGK V-Power Plat. only 2.00ea. I also bought Blue NGK wires and replaced that. What kind of dist. Cap should I get?

2.00 for platnum plugs NGK's? Maybe a Bosche plat. The V-power plug isn't a plat. last I recall.

I think the NGK Plat. run about $10 and the Iridiums run about $6.
I would replace the wires and distributor cap with a plug change.

I think the v6 uses the $10 plug as the OE model, my 4cyl uses a Denso plug I think they are do for a change this coming summer I think. Either a Denso or NGK is likely good for a Honda, proper Gap and heat range is the key IMO.

I wouldn't replace the honda wires at all. They will outlast the NGK. And i would use Honda cap and rotor . Seem alot of towed in no starts because of aftermarket caps. The spark burns right through the rotor.
