Default Intermitant Tachometer. Any help??

My 90 Accord's tach is acting up. (Totally stock car) About every other time the car is started the tach does not respond. It will usually jump to life some time down the road. It has never died once it has started working. No other engine problems going on. I am thinking electrical but anyone out there have any ideas?

Can anyone help??

The only other issue the car has that may (or may not) be related is the charge light flickering randomly. (But i have never had the battery go dead)

Thanks

Could be the ignitor, or the gauge unit. You need to test to find out.

Bad vehicle speed sensor?? My old 1991 wagon did that and the speed sensor fixed it. search this site for "vss."

A speed sensor failure would result in Odometer problems not Tach problems....
