Koni Yellow's w/stock springs
if i dont want to drop my ride, but put koni yellows on my car, would that improve my handling noticably still? are koni yellows compatible with my stock springs? Are there any other good, but less expensive alternatives to koni yellows?
i currently have a front upper strut bar, lower front and rear strut bars, and 225/40/18 toyo proxes fx-4.

1. At least get some sports springs to bring the wheel gap down to a respectable level. You'll still have more ground clearance than a lot of stock cars.
2. Koni Yellows are sweet, the SP3 version is what I would recommend, more adjustability in ride height, etc.
3. If you do actually use Koni Yellows with stock springs, yes, it will increase handling but not as much as it would with sport springs.
4. A cheaper alternative that is still adjustable would be Tokico Illuminas.

it will increase your road feel, you will have more stability and control, but you aint gonna cut out much if any body roll or make your car effectively "handle" better as far as your cornering ability goes. You need some stiffer springs to start noticing a huge difference- lower or not.

alright, thanks for all the feedback you guys. i think i've been talked into lowering my car, at least slightly. given that my funds are limited, i think it's more economical to get the tein basic coilovers rather than eibach pro w/koni yellows.
can anyone with experience with tein basics tell me how you guys like them? how big is the drop? im only looking for about 1.5". how about handling? if my friend does it with me, a shop quoted us $770 for parts, labor, and alignment and tax (if not, it'll cost me $840). is that a good price?
thanks (esp to jschmid, 98coupeV6 and lordaccord for the sweet FAQ)
