Default Cabin filter

I bought a 99 Accord from my girlfriend and it has had all the required factory service at the correct interval. I recently had it in to Honda and they changed the cabin filter. Since then I noticed I am getting a lot of dirt and dust in the car on the dash and console which never happened before. Is there a diffferent problem to look for before I try taking the glove box out to check the cabin filter? I think they did something wrong changing the filter.

I have to park under a tree and crap in the air system is not a new problem with my old Mazda. But it never happened before with the Honda.

i dont think thats the problem but just double check on the filter if they installed it correctly and maybe theres no filter on it at all or forgot to install one during the service but telling u that they did. Just go back where u got it serviced and explain what been going on.

I would have it checked out by whoever did it, but the problem could be totally unrelated, Maybe theres just a lot of dust in the air and you have your windows open? I know in spring time here i get all sorts of pollen and dust in the car and it has nothing to do with the cabin filter

It only takes ten minutes to get to the airbox with a phillips skrewdriver. you may as well chk to see if they actually replaced the filters (there are two, stacked one on top of the other). They fit very snugly and nothing could possibly get past them. Elsewhere on H-A.com is a set of instructions with pictures.
