hi i have a 88 accord lxi i just took the engine out 2 change clutch and now i have been experiencing some problems with the battery going dead, when i rev up the engeine the battery starts to charge but with normal driving the battery will go dead in a matter of miniutes. i have no clue what to do
any help please!!!!!

 

Sounds like a bad Alt? You can usually bring it to a parts shop and have it tested for free...

 

Since the engine's been out, you can also check to see if all your power cables are OK. Loose/corroded connections at the alternator? Check BOTH ENDS of the big battery cables, and both ends of the big engine/body ground cable.
