what gas for '95 accord vtec?

Default what gas for '95 accord vtec?

i dont have the original user's manual...and not sure which gas i need to use on my '95 accord vtec: regular, plus, or premium? i know that vtec acuras use at least a "plus" (89). btw, what happens if the manufacturer says 89 but i put in 87?

u know every car, u get they say to put the best,which is premuim, but more than half of the honda accord owners put 87, it wouldnt hurt it, but, its better to put 91!!!

any of the octanes wont hurt it a bit.....whatever u wanna spend your money on

If you search on the topic, you will find that most people on here will tell you that you are just wasting money by using anything other than regular.

If you search for the topic, not only will it say to just use regular, but you will find about about 10 pages worth that say to use regular.

103 Octane race fuel.

Its a frigging Accord... 87 unless it really does specify 89 which I am doubtful it does.

I had a 94 Accord EX 4 cyl (thats the VTEC motor) and the manual specified 87 octane.

yeah the compression is not high enough to justify 91
just put in 91 and be done with it

87 works just fine. They do not require premium like some of the newer (higher performance) engine do. Occassionally you can jet a tank of 91-92 through just to keep things a little cleaner or whatever.

The EPA requires all grades of fuel to have detergents mixed in. Any octane higher than specified by the manual is unnecessary.
