05 Accord Hybrid
Ok folks, so now I am up to 2960 miles on the Hybrid. Getting 31-32 on the highway and doing 28-29 around town. I know I can do better on the hiighway thing, but I'd have to be doing 55mph and going on flat ground. Around town as long as you drive mostly consertive, it performs very well.
Yea on the Dodge Cummins, which I own 2 (1997 12 value 4x4 2500 automatic, mechanical pump) slightly modified (275hp on the dyno), I get 15 mpg in winter and 18 mpg summer. Usually around 12 mpg towing, but I also cross the scales a hair above 26,500 pulling a gooseneck. On the 2001 3500 24valve 4x4 6 speed I get 18mpg and 12mpg towing.
Back to the Accord Hybrid I have to say I am impressed with the ride and confort. Heated seats are great, and the navigation system has helped out many times.
In cold weather below 10 degrees it takes 2-3 miles before it warms up enough for the ECO (aka 3 cylinder mode) to pop on. The transition between 6 cyl and 3 cyl is very smooth, the electrical kick happens when it needs a bit more power in ECO mode or when you kick it hard and use all 6 cyl and need a boost. The AUto-Stop is great, and unless your watching the tac and blinking light you sometimes don't even notice it (a gas saver in rush hour traffic, or stop lights).
Not sure what else to tell you but Honda could have done two things different from my point of view. 1) provide a donut spare tire rather than a can of foam (I guess in Canada you get the spare tire). 2) add lumbar support for the passanger seat.
Other than those items its a very comfortable light weight car.
Those are my observations.

Oh yea, one additional observation on the 05 Accord Hybrid. When you need the V6 Power, like pulling onto a busy ramp, or passing, its a hoot! I really hauls A.. well it picks up and goes. I mean it will out perform the std Accord V6 and goes as fast as the Accura RL (which claims 300 hp).
