Default Odd sound....hm?

Hey,

I have 01 accord Lx and recently while driving around usually on the freeway..I hear this metal rubbing metal sound from either my front or rear driver side. It's freaking annoying, so i just turn up the stereo..but it's been happening quite often now, and I'm thinking it might be something bad.

The odd thing is that once I press down on the brakes then it stops ! but once i release them the sound comes back. It's only when the car is in motion...

Just wondering if any of you guys know what might be the problem.

Thanks ! !

I've also gotten a stone in behind the shield and it rubs. Put it up on the jack, and rotate the wheels by hand and see if you ca find the culprit.

I had to remove the wheel, and pull the caliper off to get all the crap out of mine.

While you are at it, make sure the calipers are free on the pins I grease mine with caliper grease. Don't use regular grease.

my brake was good too but after I got into short distance race, ( 60-mph )
I was speeding then stepped on the brake....... ( not too hard../ didn't even make sssqquiikk noise.. )
next day, I heard metalic noise coming from my wheel, and I took it to the shop.
they told me my brake was bad.
at least I found out what was wrong. lesson learned.

Huh...why was your brakes bad? I mean why did the shop say they were bad..? Cause I do drive high speeds a lot cause of freeway and i'm always braking cause of traffic and such.
