that really depends on what i can see installed or how modified either one is. alarms only scare thieves who want stero equipment or useless shit that i wouldnt care if they took, not the ones who want the engine, basically the car. i had afriend who had an alarm with lo-jack and the ****ers stole the car from inside his garage! its was a type r integra.

I just think that lo-jack type of device (that send signal let's say to cops if unauthorize ingition is detected or car lifted off the ground and/or also pages the owner) combined with a strong mechanical deterent (i.e. brake pedal club) is a good combination.

Now, if they want the stereo - well - they can have it (*as oppose to taking the entire car).

my friend park his car n front of his house but he has no alarm on the car and while we were inside the house someone broken inside the car by forcing the lock with a screw driver or something alike and ofcourse they took his radio and we never knew until 2 hrs after and this was at 9am. i park my car and leave it alone for a long time n the same spot and no one brakes in and u know why cause of my alarm/pager. no u cant stop my alarm from going off or sending me a pager. stock alarms are gargabe. get a clifford/DEI with the pager and u will see how useful it is. if my alarm goes off it goes off because someone touch my car or something and not because someone with loud music or a truck pass by, i love this clifford/DEI alarms i never had not one false alarm. if my alarm goes off i look at my pager then look at the car but i see door open on the pager trust me i will b righ outside kicking ur ass faster than ur heartbeat. I totally support getting rid of crappy alarms. my friend has a brand new maxima and it took the thieves seconds to open his car door and they did something to the streering that disable the alarm and they stole his headlights hah that blows and now his horn dont even work , good thing it happen n daylight he didnt need the headlight. i cant wait to get my taser club i will modified to 500,000 volts instead of the 50k volts it comes with.

Well, if the thieves are specifically targeting your car, of course it's going to be stolen no matter what. Nothing would stop them.

EDIT: Wow, I really can't spell when i'm half asleep lol

u cant there is only one way to take my car and that is to towed the car and make sure u do it quick before i hear the alarm or pager and most likely is going to happen at night and with no one around, usually the time for thieves is 3am-5:30am ,-- thats the time here n nyc. reason why u cant pop my hood is because i have the extre addon that once the alarm goes off or activated/arm u can not pop the hood. #2 the cable for the hood is not really the one u see. #3 i just install a second siren with the xtra battery that activates if the #1 is cut off. i also have sensors for the glass and basically ur best bet is to towed the car asap but then again u cant towed my car because is inside a garage in my house with double lock doors. well since everything has a flaw then my flaw would b when we go away to another country and the car is alone n the garage and hopefully the neighboors keep an eye on it.

is not that a thieve will not take the car because of security but making it the most difficult as posible for a thieve to take ur car and hopefully they back down since they dont want to get arrested or kill. last week a kid stole a suv and yesterday his luck ran out, he took a stop sign and cops follow him and chase went on. he crash and die.
is it me but like every owner who owns a honda is proud of it, even if u dont know them they come up to u to talk about how good of a car honda is. everytime i go to a shop every mechanic talks about how the accord/honda is a real car.
