I just put the third battery in my 2000 EX...65k miles.

Honda (or Sears for that matter) can do a simple check of the battery charging power, alternator and starter. They will let you know if any components are weak.

Is this what is stated in the TSB no. 02-034?
I don't think that is from the TSB - I think it is from the news letters sent to Honda techs...

Good luck on the SRS.
Well I have 64,000 miles that's not never drives. I just spread my mileage out over 2 cars instead of one

Well I'm sure I'll have the answer after Honda sucks $72 from my sister for looking at the Accord next week.

Okay, that's more than I thought. h: I just figured storing over the winter would keep the miles down more. I just broke 80K on my '99.

I put 36,000 the first year and stored it the last 4 to save the miles. It got 7000mi just last summer with vacations and stuff. But I hope to have a new company car this year to really keep the miles off.

Deepest THANKS!!! Pairallel

I always prefer to have the information at hand before heading to the dealer.

Looks like if it is the seat sensor it could be up for good faith repair.

This is good because they have had to tear that seat apart before and the car is only 2yrs old. It had a bad motor before. The good faith claws is a positive.

Her volt meter on the Passport 8500 is going between 12.8 and 15.0 is this normal for the V6? My chevy S10 sits at a constant 14.1

My Accord I haven't driven for some time so I can't recall but I think it reads a low 12 often too, but mine is a Denso JDM unit for the alternator in a 4cyl.

Update:

Well we popped the hood on her Accord and the battery terminal was very gunked up with corrosion; to the point the terninal end on the cable snapped off when we attempted to remove the bolts on the terminals for cleaning. Luckily my dad had a spare and he cleaned the terminal and reconnected the cable ends good as new. Even added some anti-corrosion spray to the terminal ends.

Result: car puts out a bunch of charge now....we shall see if the SRS light returns. Hopefully this was the fix. Else it can still go to Honda next week.

I've only reminded her a billion times to clean the bat. terminal ends, let this be a lesson to all. Keep it clean under the hood.
