Default 03 accord questions/ please help the newb

Hey all whats going on?
I have alot of questions, so please help.

1st off.

since the 7th gens are all computer controlled and crap.
I was wondering, would installing an coldair intake or an intake filter screw up anything with the flow of the airintake of my car since its all contolled?
I have a v6 accord. I havent heard any problems with the 4 cyclinder ones with with intake, but since i have a v6, im beting its a different story.

2nd off
does anyone have problems with their brakes?
when i brake hard, it rumbles the brake pedal and my steering starts to shake.

CAN ANYONE HelP ME PLEASE!!!?????

personally i dont think any air intake would cause any problems and if i were u i would go with a brand name just for backup. i would only add intake if the 7th is a coupe but thats me.

in ur 2nd. if ur brake pads are good and every that has to do with brake is good then have u check ur tired? maybe u hit something hard ... i had the same problem wheel shaking etc.. but once i change wheel the problem went away.
u should defitnely take it to the dealer with or without warranty since brakes is one of the top safety thingin n ur car, dont wait too long.

I think there's at least one version of 4-cyl that has an air-flow sensor at the air filter housing. Maybe the California ULEV??? Those guys have to worry since the sensor still has to be working. I don't know whether the V-6 has that?

The quick/easy thing is to look whether there's ANY kind of sensor anywhere in the air path from the filter over to the throttle.

Don't know 'bout the intake.

I'll make the assumption that you're not hitting the brakes hard enough to engage the anti-lock system...The '03 Accords had brake issues; very well known problem. Search HAN, there's mucho info. on this. The original pads were too hard and caused the rotors to warp. The dealer should fix this free of charge if that's indeed the problem. They may turn down the rotors, and install better pads.

Yeah for your 2nd question, make sure it's not the ABS. If you're not used to that, it can freak you out. I have an 04 6spd and during the snow we got here last weekend, my abs was engaging all the time.

Is this generation's ULEV counterpart a non-VTEC like the F23A4 was?

I know the V6 Accord is the J30A4 but what is the 4cyl engine? I know it's a K24A something, probably A1 or A4

Ours is a K24A4 & it doesn't have that airflow sensor. But I've seen that sensor on parts diagrams, so just look & see if YOUR car has it...

Hi guys

I am new to this forum, I have been looking for a forum to help me sort out my brake issues. The brakes pads as i read really get spoiled quite quickly. for its like max 1000 miles.. and they start squeking, shaking vibrating etc...is there any upgrade for this. Have they fixed the problem in teh 04 or 05 ? Can i use the 04 pads to make this problem go away in my 03 sedan ?

Can anyone also give me links to any good site who are selling spoilers - Body kits - ECU's - etc for the 03. I tried a lot no luck..

regards

Go to the dealer, it's a problem with very early 03's and I believe they have to replace your calipers. Hopefully someone on this forum knows exactly what they did, but the problem was resolved very early into MY2003.
