Default 98 Accord EX V6, best upgrade?

was thinking about getting an AEM V2 for my car, but saw the price is ridiculous compared to other CAIs. Is it really worth the bang for the buck? Hear you feel the power over a nice range compared to other intakes, is that true? If not, what other CAIs should I look into? Thanks

Best upgrade? Sticky tires.

If you want an intake, sure...but it'll make more noise than power. I had a regular AEM CAI and took it off after a week...too noisy and I lost low end.

AEM Short Ram has better gains than the CAI for Honda V6s.

What kind of gains could I expect with the short ram?

2 to 3 hp, if you're lucky.

get it as an investment. you'll never have to buy another $15 air filter for the rest of your Honda's life.

I would say the Comptech headers would be your best upgrade. I dont know about the Accords but on the TL board those guys claim to have gained 35 horses and since they share the same engine other than the TL having having a slightly bigger engine its the same engine. The only down side is they cost over a thousand dollars.

I would say that I've gained a solid 8-10 HP/TQ across the curve, judging by the hills my car doesn't have to downshift for anymore and the added acceleration. I didn't think it would add nearly as much as it did, to tell you the truth.
