i need a lil input on this one. i currently own an 87 Accord LX with a 5 spd and i am considering buying an 86 Accord LXI with a 5 spd that needs to be replaced. I am just wondering if the tranny from the 87 would swap into the 86 even tho one has a carb and the other is FI. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

 

my local honda dealer says it won't work but i think they're full of it because the only difference would be gear ratios. i just wanted to make sure before i bought the car.
