Default SR or cold air intake

Right now ive got enough cash to get the AEM Short Ram intake and i know that cold air is overall better but like 100 bucks more. Would it be worth my while to save an extra 100 and get the Cold Air or go ahead and get the SR?

I think you'll be happy with the short ram.

I have the CAI and the filter cleaning is such a pain...I'd go short ram if I had to do it over again.

Short Ram.

CAI isn't for some cars IMO.

I heard that if you have a CAI you can seize your enginge when driving through puddles and **** your warranty.. someone that knows something about this explain to me whatup with that.

Also, does Short ram intake face downard (sucking up water sometimes)

I have had CAI for 3 years and driven in rain with no problem. With the amount of work and money I have in my engine trust me I am not one to take chances with hydrolock.

BTW I wouldn't waste my money on AEM, its overpriced and you can get the same thing for less money from companies like Injen.

i got an AEM CAI i think with cai you get top end and with sri you get bottom. ive also drivin in some pretty sick rain, just dont go through any puddles WOT, as a matter of fact, avoid them altogether. sri just suck up hot air, since its right there near the engine. the colder the air is the better.

Go for the short ram. Easier to maintain and less chance of hydrolock.

Does the short ram intake make the engine sound sick like the cold air does?
