I'm still interested in someone hooking me up to whoever knows where I can get the JDM Inspire or Southeast Asia's Accord trunk.

 

Hmm...I think the trunk lid is the least of your worries....you need a USDM BFH to fix that mess.

you don't seem to be hearing us, or "reading us", correctly.. the JDM inspire trunk is THE SAME as the USDM accord trunk. but hey, if you really want it...

other asian models, such as the chinese and taiwanese accords have the trunk lid you're looking for. i'm betting you're not going to find any online store or car shop that actually sells one, because it's such a low-demand part - UNLESS they'll special order it for you. but in that case, it's most likely going to be a brand-new OEM honda part, which will cost an arm and a leg. not to mention overseas shipping on an item THAT big is NOT going to be cheap. THEN you'll have to get it painted.

there are online stores and car shops that have can order parts from japanese junk yards, etc. this is how people usually get their JDM engines imported. but you're looking at finding a part from china. just think about it - who buys OEM car parts from china? the CDM thing hasn't exactly caught on just yet.

do you not have insurance or something? just file a claim and get the car fixed. there's way more damage to that car than just a bent trunk lid, so you're going to have to take it into a body shop anyway.

you're probably the first person that's been this serious about this. if you can find a way and you're really gung-ho about it, then more power to you. but seriously, it's probably not worth it. just go get it fixed.

But yeah, it's not worth it. And it'll end up looking retarded. And only you'll notice that it's any different. Is that worth about $1000 to you?

 

You know what I find funny in this whole thread is that not one person has realized yet that the only difference between the two cars is a simple plastic insert where the license plate frame is.

Well, no, the taillights are actually shorter to make room for the wider license plates they have in China. That makes the rear end look a bit more balanced.
