Default silverstar signal bulbs

I bought a set of Sylvania's Silverstar turn signal bulbs that look blue when off, and look amber when on. I have attached pics. I am not sure if I like them, so any comments would be great. Thanks

i think its amber when on cuz of the housing on the turn signals. I'm not 100% sure but thats what i'm guessing that the housing has some amber to it.

Default bulbs

There is no amber inside of the light housing itself, these bulbs are supposed to be blue when off and amber when on. I just don't know if I like the look of the blue inside of the light now. In the store the bulb color looked slightly different. I saw them online and liked them, and today I found them at autozone, and they only had one set left, and I knew if I came back at a later time to buy them, they would be gone, so I bought them.

i personally think you'd like it after you take off the amber strip so that your headlights are all white.

They look alright, I have them on my Prelude. I think they look a little better inside bumper lights though. It stands out too much in the headlights. The reason they light up amber is because the bulb IS amber, they just have a very thin, bluish/colorful coating.

I think they would look much better in a set of blackhoused headlights.

hope you don't run into a cop who needs to meet quota and notices the blue bulb in your headlight.

shouldn't be illegal, depending on state, i guess. as long as it lights up amber, it's fine. i've never heard of anyone getting a ticket for a bulb that's only colored blue when off.
