I need some advice.. I'm having trouble with my cruise control. First of all, the light is out for the button to turn on cruise control.. I don't know if this has anything to do with the actual problem.. When I try to set the cruise control, it sometimes catches and sometimes doesn't.. I have to keep pressing the "Set" button and eventually it sets.. Any ideas what's going on, how can I find out what's the problem and how to fix it?? I have a 99 accord sedan... Any help is appreciated.. It's getting to be frustrating...

 

Could be a bad or loose connection in the wiring harness. Might just need to clean the connectors. Otherwise the internal switches that normally actuated when yoy move hte stalk may be worn out, somehow corrded or loose.

 

Do you know how I would check the wiring, harness?
