Default New engine, other ideas

Ok, I've decided to run with my honda; instead of giving 20+ K to a dealer for a slow, boring, and un-original (read "new") car, Im gonna drop it into my 94 accord to create a one of a kind ride.... plus i like the idea of a 25K honda blowing away pretty much any car on the street. I'm puttin a tein ss coilover setup this week, then saving up for the engine.

Im willing to spend good money on an engine, and I'm thinking H22 bored out to 2.5 or 2.7 liters. Anyone have any experience with enlarged engines for hondas? Should i go this route (pricey) or stick with the stock size? Side note: Im also going to be replacing all internals to make it ready for a good dose of boost ( around 25 psi).

I am also contemplating how to get the power to the ground as the car is sure to be traction limited. Is a limited slip front differential enough? I was looking into an all wheel drive conversion for the accord... has this ever been done? Basically, i have a bunch of ideas, and the sooner i figure some out, the sooner I can get headed in the right direction. Any comments, advice, or suggestions would be appreciated (except if you are going to tell me spending 20-25K on a honda is stupid...cause frankly thats not constructive... I've made up my mind).

I know I left a lot out... (transmission, clutch, cv joints, ECU, exhaust, etc.... I was just trying to get my biggest questions out of the way here) Thanks!

Well if its a daily driver, and you're pushing more then 300whp to a front wheel drive car, youre gonna get rediculous tq steer. So i would say that awd conversion will be good money spent. Ive heard of one person doing it for around 2g's, think it was on honda-tech.

Spending 20-25K on a 94 honda Accord is stupid.

Seriously though...sleep on it. Researching what others have done and their results will shed some light on what would really be involved and if it's worth it to you.

If you really want to "blow away pretty much any car on the street"...start with a different car.

If you want to make your Accord faster and give you another 10 years or so out of it, spend $5-10K and realize that it's never going to blow pretty much anything away.

well not to shoot down your dreams or nothin (cuz i love my accord too) but maybe you should get a WRX STi its AWD and like 300hp stock. but i think its over 30G's. Or look into those 6th gen Corvettes if you got bank.
