I was taking my g/f home and up the street from her house they had a checkpoint.
I guess since I had my baseball cap on backwards maybe they figured lets see what this guy has.........

They asked me to stop and the cop had a gadget that tests the light that shines into your window.
He put that on the window and it then displays a reading on the percentage of light that shines into your car.

MEanwhile my g/f friend was two cars ahead of me and she has limo tints on her rear windows and 20 percent on her two front windows and her windshield.
They waved her by and didnt say anything to her.

So instead they stop me and ticket me.

I got pulled over by 4 looser motorcylce cops who gave me exhaust, tint, rear back up lights illegal color. I think the tint was 28%. I went home, ripped the tint off my fron t windows, took that one to court and the judge dismissed it. I left my illegal front windshield strip on though ;-) I've been thinking of reduing all my tints though, don't know if I want to go illegal or not. Don't really care.

Hey flyromeo3, does your tinted windshielf look any bit fuzzy / blurry with that tint on it? Almost like you can see the moisture?

Nope, I dont see any moisture on the windshield. In fact you barely see the tint.
I would assume if there is moisture/ bubbles, it could be the fault on the installer not removing all that soapy water when sticking it on.

My friend had that problem when he put 35 % tint on his windshield. You definitely saw it there. All he did was wait a day and took it back to the shop and they corrected it.

click on my cardomain link below. the sides are 15. and the back is 7%. personally i think if youre gonna go with 35. might as well not waste the money.but it really depend on the color of the car. mine is black. and light tint just wouldnt look right. im actually thinking of going to 7% on the sides too

Rear window 20% all the side glass is 35%

It makes the side windows look much darker and the gradient of dark changes as you walk around the car.

See it changes by angle. I like it because on the coupes the rear window is huge, and I use to cook in the car in the summer.
