what a stupid thing
ok as you guys know i washed my engine and the tranny started trippin now i took it to two shops and they couldn't findout what the problem was so they are like you need to take it to honda. so i slowly drove the car home and opend the hood and started cleaning the destributer cap. guess what the car start running good and shifting perfect but there is one problem when i floor it4000k and up they tranny starts tripin again but all the way up to 3500~3600K it shifts smooth as baby's ass so could it stilll be the distributer that got ****ed up and needs to be replaced have i really fixed the problem ???

Is it a 5 speed? One time my friend and I were doing a clutch job on a prelude and when we finished and drove it the car loses power & kind of jumps like you said right at 4000rpm, well we checked all the connections & cleaned all the grounds to make sure they had good contact and it ran fine. Plus check your plugs and wires, make sure there is no water anywhere.
Is this an I-4 or V6??
Water in the distributor will mess around with how your engine runs, but shoudln't affect your tranny. Id dry out the engine completely, and see what happens. Hit those parts with WD-40 to get all the H20 out.

woops 6th gen with a 4 speed auto is an I-4.
I think you are attributing a rough idle and acceleration to your tranny when its really your engine. Hit the distributor & cap with some WD-40. Leave it overnight, and see what happens.
