The exhaust is probably fine as long as it was designed for the Accord. You did not buy the extra special "official" honda muffler so it will not sound the same. I am more worried about the RPMs. When was the last time you had the spark plugs and wires replaced? The bouncing RPMs is usually an indication of plugs going bad. Every 30k I get my plugs replaced as this engine is not the 100k per change engine.
