Default accord factory alarm

Hey guys, I have a 2000 Accord V6 EX with the factory alarm (note, the EX model has FACTORY alarm, not the DIO). Its' been manfunctioning lately - it used to passively lock the doors about 15 seconds after i get out of the car and after a recent accident, it stopped doing that. The dealer screwed around with it for a few hours and got nothing done. they replaced a hood switch and checked all of the other switches, they're all solid. what gives? It works fine otherwise - responds to the remote, opens the trunk, panics, etc.

Personally, I'd like to know where the control module is, I bet there's a dip switch that changes it from active to passive mode. Does anyone know where the module is?

Or... is there a sequence of buttons to push on the remote, or otherwise, that can reprogram the module without getting to it?

Note, this is the factory alarm, not the dealer installed option. there is no control unit below the steering column, I checked.
however, if you are interested in the dealer installed option, you can find the installation pdf's on http://www.handa-accessories.com.

link to h-and-a pdf for dealer installed option

thanks-
michael

I didnt know the factory module had that option. Mines doesnt lock automatically. Seems to me you could lock yourself out very easily that way.

no, i remember it distinctly clicking about 10-15 seconds after i'd get home. id get out of my car, and before i make it to the door to close the garage, the car would click the locks and flash the lights. I want to restore that function.
