Default paintin my rims

Just wanted to know what's the cheapest paint i can use to paint the insides of my rims black with. Im going for the chrome lip/black rims look. I already have some Duplicolor black paint laying around and wanted to know if i could spray with that-- or is it too cheap? Oh, and im going to paint my light housing black, and wanted to know if i could use it to paint that too.

i dont really think if its how cheap the paint is, it reall ydepends on prep work, cleanliness, and clear coat. painting is just following a procedure.

Use black rim paint. I used that stuff *thinks for a second* two years ago to paint my rims gunmetal, and they've held up just fine.

i think it was like 5.29 at kragen, one can will last ya, if it doesnt, you need to learn how to spray, lol.

another tip, soak the can in hot water, from what ive read, the hot water makes the paint thinner which means it sprays finer.

What should i do about the old paint thats on my rims now? You think i can get away with just prime/paint/clear right on top of the old stuff? If not, what grit sand should i use to prep it?

no dood..ok go to schucks and get aircraft paint remover. spread it on, and the old paint will bubble up in no time and u can wipe or wash it off. clean and wetsand ur wheels with maybe 200-400, dry. and paint. any paint will work. do u want a BLACK BLACK, or a gunmetal color. if u want gunmetal, i sugggest u get duplicolor wheel paint. its 5 bucks at most for a can..thats all you need. if u want black black, use duplicolor engine paint. regular spray paint will prob chip hella quick.

Clean the wheels really good, and use a primer so the paint sticks, otherwis itll flake off and look like crap.
