Anyone with common sense and general knowledge about how shit works can figure out that your little Accord spins out more in the rain (and the snow, and the gravel) because, shockingly, rain slicked roads don't have the same friction coeff as dry roads do.
Basically, your questions confuse me. I am genuine curious about what kind of an answer you expected. It's like asking us how many miles you lose of tranny life when you do a neutral drop or how many years you lose of your engine life when you drive 1 mile in -20 degree temps...it's such a vague and asinine question that it truly has no answer, other than a polite slap in the back of the head. Are you and dictionary.com done calling me an 'elitist' now?
I come on here for 10 mins every day and answer some of the most ridiculous questions I've ever seen, that could be solved with common sense and basic knowledge of cars. But I do it politely even if the same topic has been posted frequently. And I don't mind, I like helping out new guys. But it scares me to think of someone of your...and I use this word loosely and cringe when I say it in regards to you...intelligence...operating a motor vehicle on the same streets that I drive on.

I actually tried to be specific this time because of all of the trouble I've gotten into from being vague in the past here, but from someone who barely knows anything about cars, how the hell was I supposed to know I didn't give enough information? Oh, and as you clearly didn't see, I figured it out in my second post with *gasp* some common sense this time. I know I ask stupid questions, and I warned everyone of that when I first posted here, but I greatly appreciated anyone that had the patience to point stuff out to me without seeming so hostile. What I continually don't understand is, if you feel so strongly against "idiocy," then why do you continue so to post in my topics, knowing full well what they're likely to contain? That's why I told you to do us both a favor and just not post in my topics, because trust me, we'll both be better off without seeing one another if these trends will not change.

Oh, I'm sorry, I never knew that basic car mechanics and the ability to drive well were symbiotical. I would like to hear the reasons on why you feel this way about my driving ability, seeing as how my all of my friends feel that I am quite a safe driver.

I honestly don't see how you base what you see here and deem me as a dumbass overall just because of it. Some people lack in some areas while excelling in others. I mean, if you met me in real life, I would seem quite intelligent by society seeing as how I'm an A student and is placed almost at the top of my Senior class while pursuing a career in Computer Repairs at the same time. Please, please, PLEASE don't do that, because that's discrimination against a person. My lack of knowledge on cars come from not being around cars my whole life, because before I moved to the US, the majority of all that was in Vietnam were bicycles and motorcycles. Then, up until the age where I could drive, the only contact of me with cars was riding in them. I never learned basic stuff such as how to change the oil, a tire, or the air filter. So, I mean, you have to understand where I'm coming from to realize what kind of person you are talking to.

There's a difference in asking how to change the oil and asking questions that only require common sense. Ask all the oil change and tire rotation questions you want, I only learned myself a couple of years ago, but common sense questions are just a waste of our time.

dont worry about losing tred on the road, even when you do burnouts. it usually wont cause extreme amounts of damage (tho a tire with 90% tred will take more damage than those with 40%, do to the extension from the tire center)
ususally if the road is wet and you do a burnout it is just slipping, not tearing the tires.
you can take a ruler into the tred in the front tires and compare ot the back, if they are way off then get them rotated, and you'll be fine.

The tires at the front loses more tread becaue it's FWD and because of all the turning, right? When they're rotated, the front ones are switched with the back ones, correct? So by putting two tires with more tread at the front, the wheels would regain some traction?

Also, I was thinking about getting some maintenance done, but the dealership said it would cost over $300, so I was like...
"No way in hell..."
It's going on to 30,000 miles and all I do is reset the maintenance light every time it comes on.
