I can't wait until the spoiler arrives, thanks for your help. I think I can do it...instead of paying a professional. Any other tips so I don't mess up the paint, ex. chip, crack, scratch...thanks again!!

just make sure you feed the anti rust around the holes, you should be fine.

Default rear spoiler

I have installed a OEM Honda spoiler on both my 99 and 02 Accords. I can offer these tips. If possible use a old blanket to cover the ground around the back of the car in case the spoiler slips and falls. Use proper size/good condition drill bits for cleaner, more round holes, use masking tape around the area of the holes that you will drill on the trunk, in case the drill slips it has less of a chance to damage the paint. One last thing, don't overtighten the nuts, because the plastic washers will distort and flatten out.

um...you only need a little bit of anti rust, so just get a small paste and use a small brush touch up around the holes after the drilling.
