well it is cold outside, but only like 60's and now my parkingbrake light isn't turning off when i take my brake off, use it not everytime i park, but a lot, i'm not now because i dont want to since it looks like its not releasing or something, it dont feel like its still on when i'm driving so is my parking brake not turning off? or does it think its on when its not? whats up
No, it's not a stuck caliper, because you have an LX with drums in the rear. It could just be as simple as the sensor not functioning, while the brake is in fact off.
The switch for the light is under the console, take it apart and make sure the switch isnt stuck or faulty. If the brake was on while driving you would know.
I have the same problem with my '91 Integra. The Brake light indicator stopped going off when it was very cold outside (30s) However, even on a mild day (50s) it still remains on. It does not feel like the brakes are depressed. How did you resolve your problem finally?
I had this same problem on my '99 Accord EX coupe. When I took it into the shop for recall repairs the problem went away, so maybe it was addressed in one of Honda's recalls for that model?
