Default F22b + Vtec?

I have a 97 f22b nonvtec 2.2l 4cyl and i want to put a vtec head on it but i cant find them anywhere. i am told this can work, i was wondering if there were any probs i dont know of though, what negative affect can this have on my car? does anything need to happen with the ECU? also, i've been looking everywhere and cant actually find the part, should i just hit up my local junkyard to look for it? thanks.

i think it will, but it's a messy job, you need to get the oil feed to the head, dont know if it'll be a problem

Be more specific. An h22a head, f22b vtec head, F20C head. how tha fu*k can i help if i dont know wtf you are trying to do.... "sigh" I guess ill just explain them all.

1. the f22 crank is a cast crank way too weak to support the high revving h22a or even higher revving F20C.
2. The h22a and F20c blocks have oil squirters in them that make sure that your crank stay oiled up. Your f22 block doesnt have them so even if you get a new forged crank your still up sh*t creek.
3. If your looking into the f22b vtec head swap... y would you do that.
A. its cheaper to just buy the whole engine
B. its a hell of alot easer to swap the engine than to swap a head
4. the F20c head swap is still just a rumor.(f20c is s2000 engine) I have not seen or even heard of anyone successfully completing that head swap.

anymore questions? i will be more than happy to answer.
